Random ramblings

I was messing with Google Earth and so, I couldn't resist to look for Belfast. I was so lucky to find Windsor Avenue in the labyrint of streetnames...Here are two pictures of nr 20, Windsor Avenue. Back in 1912, however, it was still nr 12. And that, folks, was Tommie Andrews' address.

You know, Ghosts of the Abyss is probably the biggest and best tribute to Thomas Andrews' beautiful ship there ever was. And when the comment shifts to discussing the man himself, I can't help bawilng my eyes out. I remember how they discovered a little drinking fountain at the top of the stairs that led down to the boiling rooms - I don't remember who exactly was talking but he said something along the lines of 'here we feel the hand of Thomas Andrews again. That little drinking fountain, it's only a small gesture but it must have been greatly appreciated...'
